Why Would Anyone Hate America?
WHY DO UNDERDEVELOPED COUNTRIES BOTH ENVY AND HATE THE UNITED STATES? WHY DO PEOPLE FROM THOSE COUNTRIES WANT TO CROSS THE BORDERS?
"An ecological deficit occurs when the Ecological Footprint of a population exceeds the biocapacity of the area available to that population. A national ecological deficit means that the nation is importing biocapacity through trade, liquidating national ecological assets or emitting carbon dioxide waste into the atmosphere. An ecological reserve exists when the biocapacity of a region exceeds its population's Ecological Footprint." https://data.footprintnetwork.org/#/
Consider the following: When we want to complain about gas prices, we need to consider this:
Overshoot day: March 14
Population: 329 million
The third-largest country in the world by population,
The U.S. uses up a year's worth of resources by MARCH 14.
(Ergo, four and a half years of resources per year!)
According to the Global Footprint Network, if everyone in the world lived the average lifestyle of an American, we would need the resources of five planet Earths. The U.S. needs 2.2 times the country's biocapacity to provide for its consumption footprint.
Three hundred thirty million people in the U.S. vs. the population of China, which is 1.5 BILLION, and still the U.S. consumes only 7% fewer resources than they. How can anyone honestly wonder why Americans are so hated?
A country of 330 million people, and according to Hedges & Company, there were 284.5 million registered vehicles in the U.S. in 2019. This number is projected to go up to 287.3 million in 2020. Moreover, about 35% of all registered vehicles in the U.S. are cars. (Note: A third of the U.S. population is driving a car: 100,450,000 cars in use.)
Travel by road (vehicle) in America is the highest this (first quarter 2022) quarter than it had been in the past ten years, despite the gasoline prices. (Source: https://visual.ly/tag/worlds-resources)
What's wrong with this picture?
American Greed!? Living the good life? Capturing the American dream?
A quarter of the world is starving, and we pray for God to bless America?
